Monday's Post ~ Prose & Blue Monday

Posted by The Muse in , , , , ,

When I was very young, (and still~even now)
I would look at pictures ~ paintings...and make up stories!
At times, they were not exactly as the artist had intended... :)
Such is this work of a young, (oh, so young Muse),
who fell under an enchanting spell of Tristan and Isolde.

The Plummet

A little maiden stood...
Up high above the earth...
The little m
aid knew not...
Her weight or girth...

For suddenly...
The sky gave way...
And she fell to earth...
That ve
ry day...

Bumped and bruised...
Not too serious a lot...
Thank stars and heaven...
Thats
all she got!

And though she had wounds...
That had to be bound...

There was no keeping...
This little maiden down...

She
had a job...
Yea, a destiny...

To greet those everywhere...
No matter where they be
...

This little maiden gave...
Her sinc
erest love to all...
This little maiden...
Who took a
big fall!

From a Muse of long ago...
Now, Greeting Card Bound!

Blue Monday
I wear many hats...
As an artistic~designing Muse...
Some are cont
emporary...
With s
teely grays...
Or bold black and blues...

Others are more traditional...
In calm, soothing and gentle
subdued hues...
Evoking misty memories of beaches...
Or stormy skies of blue...

As you dream in endless color...
As you plan
this and that...
Don't forget to be inspired...
Simply put on your Muse's hat!

* You too can join in the fun of a Blue Monday...
please see my side blog for other wonderful blogs to add to your delight :)

Oh Muse...Such beautiful blueness! That ceiling is gorgeous! I would love to wake up to that in the morning! And I LOVE "Tristan et Yseult" (as they are in Fench). My favorite love story after Catherine and Heathcliff! What man in his right mind asks his wife to look out the window to see if his honey is on the way?? lol Although they ruined it in the recent movie. :-( Happy Blue Monday! ...Debbie
PS I understand the importance of your pink cap and love it even more!

Oddly enough this monday hasn't been that blue for me. I got back to college after my semester break so my friends and I had quite a bit of fun today.
Its actually pretty odd to have fun on a monday. Maybe its because its a holiday today and we have no classes. Classes commence from tomorrow though!

Ah Muse! I loved your note to me! The wonderful thing about practicing French is that you get to go to France to practice it!
The gift of poetry, on the otherhand, you either have or you do not! Your poem written by the young Muse is lovely! You may notice that I never participate in any of the poetry games. Here's an example of early Plate Addcit:

A dead pig in the sunshine
Gathers many flies
Even though the sun be warm,
Cold the pig still lies.
Pig innards,they is good
We sometimes call them chitlins
The ones from big pigs, they is good
The best is from the littl'uns

Now you see why I cannot be allowed to play! lol Debbie

Dear Muse,
You've unleashed my rhyming side,
Now I've naught to stem the tide.
As I go about my day,
A quatrain on my lips will stay.
I cannot stop, I must go on
At work, at play, out on the lawn.
I jibber jabber all in rhyme
A faint sing songy quarter time.
I've got to stop, I've got to quit
But, now, I guess I'm stuck with it
So gentle readers, please beware,
The Muse will take you unaware.
Thanks for your post on my blog

Dearest Muse,

Oh, how I wish the rhyming and the beauty of words coming together, was something which would rub off on me... Theresa made me smile, but I feel I am so like prof en retraite in the prose creating department. Oh, it all created music in my head as the tale began to unfold... I was facinated... When I had mine ready to comment, two of your 'talented' readers jumped ahead of me and mine didn't make any sense. Sorry about the delete. LOL

All I can say about your lovely post today is Bravo! The Lord did indeed bless you with many INCREDIBLE beautiful talents! The young Muse made me smile. The blue ceiling was gorgeous and your magical touch was left on each room.

You are wonderful! Have a happy blue Monday!

beth

Monday, January 5, 2009 12:13:00 PM EST

The bedroom has the perfect balance of lighting that creates interesting dimensions with the various shades of white. I am always intrigued by the use of light to create dimension amongst a predominantly single color.

Monday, January 5, 2009 1:06:00 PM EST

Beautiful post. I love that blue ceilin'.
I have a question though, If you were only wearin' the hat, boots and legwarmers, did you ever make it to the cashew chicken?

Monday, January 5, 2009 1:38:00 PM EST

LOL..did you say pack my bags?? I'm trading my blue skies in for blue mountains!! Know where I might find some of those? LOL

OMG... that was such a great post. I enjoyed it so much...thanks for sharing your thoughts. Nice images of blue too.

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 12:06:00 AM EST

Love the Tristan and Isolde painting, and yes I can see how it would inspire a bright little one like you no doubt were. I learned their story in my reading about Bavarian King Ludwig II - a fascinating character (he was big into stories like T/I).

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 1:30:00 PM EST

I adore blue. Thanks.

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 10:15:00 PM EST

Your words are ever so enchanting and you compliments are even so...
Thank you Muse for providing our eyes and hearts with such prose and poetry.

What a totally farout bedroom. I sooo love this! I've got a cabin in the mountains to decorate and this would be so easy to accomplish....and since I'm the Queen of Dreamsz, it only makes sense to have the word Dream hanging across the room! And that even looks like a vintage chenille bedspread on the bed...have a collection of them too..thanks so much for posting this terrific muse for me, me, me!! LOL Would it be alright if I blogged using this one photo? Please let me know..

Have a grand week,
Stephanie
