Blue says the sea and the sky and robin's eggs! It says old chambray shirts and new navy dress blues! It says Chinese porcelain and Mary. It says, "Hi, I want to live in your house in your accesories!" :-)

This is a very pretty Master suite..but so not me..LOL
Blue is violas, delphinium, cornflowers, & irises.
The deep piercing blue of the western skies & the calming turquoise blues of the oceans.
Serene, cool, & soothing.
But, you will not find blue in my home...hmmm not sure why.
Looking at this picture makes me want to jump in that bed and sleep my best sleep ever! It's so peaceful looking. That window view is breathtaking!
Don't know why, but the words, regal, presidental, came to mind.

I would have to echo White Iris-- I love the shades of blue she mentions but there is never any blue in my house. And like her I can't really say why.
The bedroom is beautiful, and I love blue paired with earth tones.
Blue is exactly as you state. It is so peaceful and pretty.
Blue also says "mother" to me as my mother has always been and always will be a "blue" person.

Oh Muse...It's bluebirds and their tiny bright blue eggs! I have them every year in my nesting boxes and they are my favorite birds!...Debbie

Blue reminds me of sunny skiesand home. Our last home had blue carpet and it was a place of refuge from daily storms and where laughter was heard daily.
Blue also reminds of the beautiful ocean and the beautiful blue eyes of my some of my grandchildren.

For me, the colour blue is a trigger to think of Australia - summer temperatures, beach lifestyle and Sydney harbour. When I see 'blue' or think 'blue' I never imagine Europe... for me that would be 'green' I think. xv
